Privacy Policy

1.Overview of the service

Melogen Studio allows users to generate music using AI. Users can:

• Sign up using email or Google authentication
• Generate music based on prompts, settings, or video descriptions
• Save, store, and access generated songs within their personal account library
• Perform basic audio editing and stem splitting on their generated music
• Download generated songs and stems from their library
• Use a credit-based system to access generation and advanced processing features

2.Cloud Storage & Content Processing

Melogen Studio provides cloud storage and processing tools to help you manage your creative workflow.

• Songs generated by the AI are automatically saved to your cloud-based personal library within your account. This allows you to access, stream, and download your music across sessions.
• When you use our advanced tools—such as basic audio editing or stem splitting—the audio files are processed on our secure infrastructure to generate the individual stems or edited tracks, which are then saved to your library.
• You retain control over your generated content. You can delete songs or stems from your library at any time through the application interface. Deleting a file permanently removes it from our active storage servers.

3.Account & authentication

To use Melogen Studio, you must create an account using:

• Email and password, or
• Google Sign-In (via OAuth)

We store only the minimum information required to operate your account, such as your email address and user ID.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings menu. Upon deletion:

• Your account data is permanently removed from our active database
• Your credits are permanently forfeited and are not refundable or recoverable
• Data and credits cannot be restored once the account is deleted

4.Data we collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the service.

Account data

• Email address (or Google account identifier)
• Account creation and login information

Usage data

• Feature interactions (e.g., generation requests, settings selected)
• Credit usage activity
• Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, interaction logs) for system stability, security, and fraud prevention

Payment data

We do not collect, process, or store any payment card information. See Section 5 for details on payment processing.

5.Payments & Stripe

All payments on Melogen Studio are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store or access your credit/debit card details. Stripe handles all payment processing, billing, and security.

We only receive limited transaction metadata from Stripe, including:

• Payment confirmation status
• Transaction ID, date, and amount
• Subscription or purchase status (if applicable)

This information is used solely to verify and fulfill your credit purchase. Payment records are retained as required for legal and financial compliance. Stripe processes data under its own privacy policy.

6.Credits system

Melogen Studio operates on a credit-based system:

• Users receive 1 (one) free credit upon signup to test the service
• Additional credits may be purchased via Stripe
• Credits are required to generate music

7.AI processing & data handling

Music generation and advanced audio processing (including stem splitting) are handled using specialized AI models hosted on our own secure infrastructure.

• Music Generation & Audio Editing: Music generation and advanced audio processing (including stem splitting) are handled using specialized AI models hosted on our own secure infrastructure.
• Text & Prompt Generation: Lyrics generation and the "Content Creator" feature (which analyzes your video descriptions to convert them into optimized music prompts) are processed via OpenAI's services.
• Data Handling: Only prompt data, user-provided video descriptions, and necessary technical parameters are shared with AI providers. This text data is transmitted securely using SSL/TLS encryption and does not include your account identifiers, email, or payment information. Inputs sent to external API providers are used solely for generating the requested outputs.

8.Third-party services

We rely on the following trusted providers to operate Melogen Studio. Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share your account data or generated content with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

9.Data retention & security

Retention schedule

• Account data — Retained while your account is active; permanently removed upon account deletion
• Generated content — Not stored after the browser session or generation page view ends
• Usage logs — Retained temporarily for system operation and debugging
• Payment records — Retained as required for legal and financial compliance

Security

We implement industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed 100% secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own accounts.

10.Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the EU/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

• Access / Correction — Manage your account details through your profile settings
• Deletion — Use the "Delete Account" feature in Settings to permanently remove your data
• Opt-out — As we do not engage in targeted advertising or data sales, no separate opt-out is required

Once your account is deleted, your data and any remaining credits cannot be restored.

11.Children's privacy

Melogen Studio is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our service or legal obligations. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the service and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the service following such updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
