Privacy Policy

1.Overview

Melogen Studio lets users generate music using AI. You can sign up with email or Google, generate music from prompts, settings, or video descriptions, save and access your songs in a personal library, perform basic editing and stem splitting, download your songs and stems, and generate a license certificate with a verification link for your music.

2.Cloud storage & content

Songs you generate are saved to your personal library, hosted on cloud storage provided by iDrive, so you can access, stream, and download them across sessions. When you use editing or stem-splitting tools, the audio is processed and the results are saved to your library. You can delete any song or stem at any time; deleting a song permanently removes it, and its associated license, from storage.

3.Account & authentication

To use Melogen Studio you create an account with email and password or Google Sign-In (OAuth). We store only the minimum needed to operate your account, such as your email address and user ID, on infrastructure we control.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion, your account data, generated songs, and their associated licenses are permanently removed and cannot be restored.

4.Data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to operate the service:

• Account data — email address (or Google account identifier) and login information
• License data — any social media handle(s) you choose to provide for your license certificate
• Usage data — feature interactions, and basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, interaction logs) for stability, security, and fraud prevention

We do not collect, process, or store payment card information (see Section 5).

5.Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store or access your card details. We receive only limited transaction metadata (payment status, transaction ID, date, amount) to verify and fulfill your purchase. Payment records are retained as required for legal and financial compliance. Stripe processes data under its own privacy policy.

6.Licenses & verification

Each instrumental track you generate has an associated license confirming your right to use the music, in two forms:

• Downloadable certificate (private to you): the copy you download to submit to platforms for verification (for example, to resolve a content claim). It contains your full email address, any social handle(s) you provided, and the song's hash and identifiers. Because it holds your full contact details, you control when and where you share it.
• Public verification page (via link): anyone with the link can confirm the license is valid. It displays only the song's hash and identifiers — not your email or social handles

A license is retained for as long as you keep its song, and is permanently removed when you delete the song or your account.

We do not issue license certificates for tracks containing generated lyrics, as we cannot verify the originality or ownership of lyric content.

7.AI processing

Music generation and audio processing (including stem splitting) run on specialized AI models deployed on dedicated inference endpoints provided by Hugging Face. Generated songs and stems are then stored in your library on cloud storage provided by iDrive. Lyrics generation and the "Content Creator" feature (which turns your video descriptions into optimized music prompts) are processed via OpenAI. Only prompt data, video descriptions, and necessary technical parameters are shared with our AI providers — never your account identifiers, email, or payment information — transmitted over SSL/TLS and used solely to generate your requested output.

8.Third-party services

We rely on Stripe (payments), Google (login/authentication), Hugging Face (AI music generation and audio processing), iDrive (song and stem storage), and OpenAI (lyrics generation and video-description analysis), each processing data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share your account data or generated content with third parties for marketing or advertising.

9.Data retention & security

• Account data — retained while your account is active; removed on account deletion
• Generated songs & licenses — retained while you keep them; removed when you delete the song or your account
• Usage logs — retained temporarily for operation and debugging
• Payment records — retained as required for legal and financial compliance

We use industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption in transit and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure, and you're responsible for maintaining your account's security.

10.Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. EU/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Manage your details in profile settings, or use "Delete Account" in Settings to permanently remove your data. As we don't engage in targeted advertising or data sales, no separate opt-out is required. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be restored.

11.Children's privacy

Melogen Studio is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and will delete such information if we become aware of it.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our service or legal obligations. Material changes will be posted within the service with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance.
